As the Mets bullpen continues to spit the bit during the home opener, now is a good time to mention their latest roster move. Matt Wise is going on the shelf, victim of a bruised forearm, and Carlos Muniz will be taking his place in the bullpen. I've railed a lot about seven-man bullpens and why they are unnecessary, but I'm starting to reconsider that. By the end of the week I hope to expand upon this topic a little more.
Wise has gotten off to a bad start, but I'm still confident he can come back to have a good season. Muniz is a space filler. Let's take a look at the active roster now:

They could have had Register mowing down the NL east this past week instead we have Wise on the DL and a lefty who can't get out lefties. Where is Feliciano in the big spots, i.e. TODAY!
Nice job, Roughneck. I hope to be a regular contributor.
Willie continues to bury Feliciano in the back of the bullpen, to the detriment of this team. When I do the Should They or Shouldn't They look at the roster, take a wild guess how I'll rate Schoenweis?
Boy, do you love that Steven Register.
Like a son.
